Topic: royal enfield maintenace
Message: My question regards maintenance on the RE. First off,
I know nothing about motorcycle maintenace. I have been considering buying
a royal enfield for over a year, but I am scared off by what I hear about
maintenance. I am a first time buyer and wonder if I shouldn't go with
something a little more reliable and maintenace free. Please advise. How
well does the machine hold up over time and how much does someone need
to know about motorcycle repair to buy a royal enfield?

Topic: reliability/longevity
Message: How labor intensive are Enfields? I'm thinking of getting
one. I want to do all my own maintenance, but don't want to be into my
bike all the time. Also, how many miles have y'all got on your enfields?
Has anyone touched 100k miles?
Thanks a lot.

Message: Just got my new Bullet with side car. Love the bike.
The damper attached to the front forks does require more effort in turning
the wheel, especially, if you are just starting out. Anybody out there
that does not use a damper? What is your experience. Tallahassee. tallabob@aol.com
