Can anyone help with a much needed part for a 1940's Royal Enfield 125cc.
The part I am trying to locate is the magneto/Ignition system.
I just missed out on e-bay by 15 secs on a brand new one someone had in their garage.

Would like some help in identifying this machine. Only a four digit number on engine.Would also like some idea of its value. Very few miles on complete engine rebuild. Machine is sound, but needs a paint job. No rust, cracks or bent areas.

Be wary of seller "A. Sharma" with website http://www.meharcraft.com/ I purchased a bike from them over six months ago. While they continue to have contact with me over e-mail I have yet to get my bike delivered to me. I am not sure if they are reputable or not but if you plan to purchase from them perhaps you might like to e-mail me to see if I got my bike yet.
Frustrated buyer....

Where is all the May talk. Have been riding now this month, finally and the bike is cooking really good. Comes from good tuning and proper lubercation. But I notice the valves keeping folks away , so I better do some minute adjusting. Hope this expensive gas doesn't mess up the engine. Is the season to ride.

Message:
My 2000 bulletts front break is totally locked up. I cant even spin the front wheel by hand. Any ideas/reccomendations? Cause/cures? Any help is appreciated.
Travis

For what ever reason the brakes have probably locked up the wheel. The most likely cause is rust if the bike has been sitting for some time or has been stored for longer than a winter. I would suggest that you take it to a service center.

Topic: oil consumption
Message:
I ride the bullet fairly hard. sometimes 150 miles a day at 60 miles an hour. i use synthetic oil and have attatched the duckbill crankcase breather. i have also upgraded to the oversize oil pump set and installed the 18 tooth countershaft sprocket. the bike seems to run better with every mile i put on it and the addition of the duckbill breather has greatly lengthened my service intervals on the drive chain however in a day of riding the aformentioned speed and distance i can expect to lose/consume 4 to 8 oz of oil. does anyone have a similar experience? i am even considering using a longer dipstick to see if the consumption continues past this point or if it finds a level. Is there anyone else in the US that rides the bullet hard like this?

Message:
Need input on performance figures with sidecar.
lbarheath1@aol.com

You can expect about 60mph TOPS with a sidecar loaded up. It is about the weight of 1/2 a bike so it does create more drag. They shine in town or on slower secondary roads and are a lot of fun. They also draw a crowd anywhere you go with it. We've had customers go cross country with them, but I think that is pushing the envelope
