Topic: bullet is the best
Message: I bought bullet machismo back in India, I have to sell it off because I have to move to UK. Here I am missing my bike a lot. It was totally different experience when I first ride the bullet, my heart beat was raised by the vibration of its superb sound and will again buy one here in UK in near future.

Topic: Air Filter Maintenance
Message: The time has come to service my Bullet's air filter. I'm used to American paper elements you either blow off with compressed air or just plain replace. What do you do with the one on an RE? Wash with gas or water or what? Do you oil it like an old 47 Chev?

Topic: Break-in
Message: I purchased a Bullet 65 2004 model and have been riding it for over 1,000 miles. At first it was rather clunky and shifted with difficulty. It is sounding better and is handling much better since I followed the steps in the breakin recommended by Classic Motorworks. I was away from riding for many years so starting slowly on roads where traffic moved in the 30 to 35 mph speed range was a natural. As a matter of fact finding roads where you could travel at that speed was difficult. Everybody everywhere is in a hurry.
I restrict my riding to 2 lane secondary roads where the speed limits are in the 35 to 55 range. Increasing my speeds gradually and varying speeds has paid big dividends as far as the bullet is concerned. It performs up to my expectations and starts on the first or second engine revolution every time. Most important is that it does not use any Oil between service intervals.
My recommendation is that if any new R.E. owner is willing to treat the bike kindly in the beginning, it will pay you back in many hours and miles of fun riding.
