Topic: knee pad application
Message: I plan to apply the 50's style (thin rubber) knee pads to my bullet classic. Is there an adhesive that will not harm the paint and pinstripe, should I decide to remove the pads at some point? Thanks.

Topic: right side shift
Message: I've just finished doing the right side shift conversion. I was tired of the clunky aspect the linkages on my 2000 gave me.
I used parts from a '59 indian chief as well as new parts ordered from classicmotorworks. Many trips to the machinist and many false hopes later I can assure everyone that the kit classicmotorworks sells is a great deal. I also want to sing out praises to the excellent advice classicmotorworks gives over the phone.

Topic: "Bob" an Enfield
Message: I'm toying with the idea to bob my 1999 (February) RE deluxe. I'd like to mount the bobbed rear fender closer to the rear tire, but I'm unsure of the amount of travel that the rear tire needs. Does anyone know how much travel the rear tire/wheel actually makes? In other words, how much do the rear shocks compress before bottoming out?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Edward

Topic: Militarywith sidecar?
Message: Is it possible to get a Military Model with a sidecar? Would the panniers and crashbars interfere? It's not a life or death situation but my six- year-old son is going crazy not being able to ride with me on my bike and money(or the lack thereof) is a concept he doesn't quite get yet. Your company seems to offer me the bes option for a quick solution to his problem.
email: neelfarrar@bellsouth.net

Yes the Military bike is available with a sidecar

Topic: Newby here.
Message: Came across this site looking for single cylinder motorcycles. I have looked at the Suzy Savage and this Enfield looks intriging. Seems that you have to install some sweat equity into this bike to keep it running. As I am a former 30 year car mechanic, the tasks necessary to be pushed down the road by this neat looking mode of conveyance has little fear. By the way, a few years back I re-assembled a Yamaha 650 twin froma basket case. It ran and I enjoyed it till I sold it. I never did get the guts to run it in excess of 60 miles per hour. Why go faster. And I really enjoyed the back roads on it. So , all in all, it sounds as though at this stage in my search, this motorcycle is sounding like it fits my needs. I will continue the search some more before I finally do fill the saddle on a motorcycle, but I'm about 70 percent sure I've found the one I like here. I hopr to talkto you folks more in the time ahead. Maybe we can wave at each other as fellow Bulleteers som!
ewhere down the road.

Topic: sidecar
Message: I am purchasing a used military Enfield and have a matching globe sidecar. However, it is a right side mount. My question has to do with the kickstart. Will the mounting hardware clear as to allow use of the kickstart? Also, have another sidecar and mounting hardware available...
email: eufjohn1@juno.com

Topic: Removing enginepaint from military bullet
Message: I'm intersted in buying the military bullet becasue I love the color and I like knee pads. But I don't like the engine paint that much (I've heard it scratshes and flakes off the engine very easily), How difficult would it be to strip the engine paint?

Also, once the paniers and crash bars are removed is the bike exactly the same as the classic? Is anythign welded to the bike to hold the paniers on?

Thanks, dave.
