Topic: Inadequate Electricals
Message: I have a '97 Enfield 500 which I recently had rebuilt. The wiring harness is hand-made by
a local mechanic in India. When I run the bike with the headlight on in the lower revs owing to the traffic and road
conditions the battery seems to run down. Turning the lights off and reving her hard is what gets the battery up again.
I need to have a brighter H/L as opposed to the 35/35W I currently have. I was thinking along the lines of a 55/60W
bulb. This is gonna run the battery dwon for sure and i don`t intend to do 90 Kmph in town just to keep the battery
charged. Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Topic: Weight Limit?
Message: I was wondering what the max weight limit for the Military model was. I weigh around 250lbs
and my wife weighs obviously less, but I wouldn't want to break the bike either!
email: nlulek79@yahoo.com
According to the workshop manual about 278 pounds is the payload.

Topic: bullet electra
Message: Does any one know if there are any plans to import the Bullet Electra x to the U.S.? It's
available in Europe and features a new all alloy "lean burn" motor. Apparently it's more reliable , having
needle roller main bearings amongst other new features, like a disc brake and puts out a lot less emissions. Any
news on this bike? I am wanting to buy an Enfield farely soon and would prefer the new model.

Topic: is this a good first bike?
Message: I've just gotten my motorcycle license and am looking for a first bike. I am drawn to the
'retro' looks of the RE and the Ural, but worried about reliability. (I'm no gearhead). The price on these bikes is
great and there is a dealer in Austin near me, so I'm tempted to take the plunge and buy one...but would like some feedback
on reliability, maintainence, etc. Oh yes, by the way, I'm also wondering if the bike would suit a smaller rider (I'm
a 5'4" female and having trouble finding low bikes!) Thanks!
