Topic: Not sure which one to buy?
Message: Well I've been looking at all the different brands of bikes available and was very disappointed in the limited "style" selections. They all started to look like Harleys or full out cafe racers. I've made my decision of , in my opinion, will be my new motorcycle. A royal enfiled has all the "style" and "gifts" I have been looking for. Unfortunately, for me, the closest dealer is 200 miles away. My only concern is parts availbility in the future. I also haven't had a chance to actually get to see one up close or to test ride one. Are they good bikes or "great" bikes. I don't mind working on it, as I am a mechanic by trade and have lots of tools, including whitworth, sae, and metric.
Can anyone give me advice as to which models are the best(specifically 4 or 5 speed) as I have decide on a 500 c.c.
and am partial to the looks of the deluxe(can't beat chrome) but like the looks of the bullet and classic. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I brought a 2000 model bullet machismo to the US in 2000. I registerd it and riding it until last year DMV send allthe papers back to me saying it doesn't meet all the safety standerds of US, so I can't register it any more. Does anybody have any suggetion or know what to do in this situation? Please let me know. I really appreciate it.

Topic: installing old indicators on a 2005 bullet
MessageNeed help with installing the old fashioned indicators (Single wire) on the new bullet (2 Wires). I've disassembled the unit but don't know where the second wire goes,  under the bulb. Do the 2 wires just go together or is the second wire a ground? And won't that create a short?
Help!

Topic: blueprinted parts?
Messagehey all.
got a couple of questions.
first, i have heard of blueprinting many, many times. it seems that it was the way to make your machine a more ideal piece of work.  question is, what exactly is blueprinting your engine parts? if i recall correctly, you would disassemble the engine, completely clean/polish/lap your parts for exact fit.  is this the case? if so, what is the benefit of purchasing bleprinted parts for your bullet? would this be something one can do in a garage? i don't actually own a bullet yet, but i do plan to get one in the very near future (new job, better finances, etc), and would love to do some vintage-esque performance upgrades. and a few hundred to toss into performance and reliability isn't going to be a real issue once i get the bike, as i will have funds available for such endeavors. just some insight in the whole concept, process, and benefits would be appreciated.  thanks in advance.
