Message:
Plan on attending one of our great events this summer. We are planning two Royal Enfield family reunions and we will be having an open house/summer picnic here at headquarters in Minnesota.

Here is our current list of events in chronological order:

June 23-25 Royal Enfield Summer Picnic and Open House We want to show off our new facility and give us a chance to meet more of our customers. The picnic will be held in our home town of Faribault Minnesota and will include tours, a great ride in the Mississppi river country, technical information, contests, food and great discounts on our parts and accessories including free freight for anything you decide that you can't live without. The tentative schedule is: Arrive Friday June 23, Ride, contests, tours, tech sessions etc Saturday June 24, and home on Sunday June 25. There is no fee for the event, food on Friday and Saturday evenings will be provided. Lots of lodging/camping is available in the area. Give us a call at 800-201-7472 for more information. All bikes and brands are welcome.

Reno Royal Enfield Family Reunion Held on Labor Day weekend in Reno Nevada. Some unbelievably beautiful rides in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area are planned as well as food, fellowship and fun. This has been a very popular event in the past. Pre-registration is required. Call Guy at: (775) 673-9611 to register and for more information. You can see a wonderful slideshowfrom last years reunions here.

Note: Tait from our office has gone to this event since its inception and
has had so much fun that he has permanent "dibs" on it.

The "Original" Royal Enfield Family Reunion/RALLY ON THE RIVER 2006 The Midwest Royal Enfield Family Reunion will be held in September AGAIN this year. Back by popular demand the rally will be held the last weekend in September (9-29, 30 & 10-1, 2006). The location will be the same as always Green's Campground and Canoe rental in Steelville, MO. We will once again be joined by the Moto Guzzi National
Owners Club and the combined event is now being called the RALLY ON THE RIVER 2006 to eliminate some of the confusion caused by more than one event called the Family Reunion. Here is a link to somepictures of last years rally. More details to
follow and watch for info at www.interstatemotorcycles.com email: bdunkus@fidnet.co.

Note: I have gone to all of these events in Steelville and it is well worth
the trip. The riding is beautiful and Bill and Mary from Interstate and Skip and his family from Greens are the consumate hosts!

Topic: S-K 3rd annual Royal reunion
Message: Hello, Just wanted to let every one know that I was at the reunion in
HATLY WISCONSIN. This was my 2nd trip there, and I had a great time. I drove my
2005 500 Bullet classic 85 miles to get there. I was very happy with the
performace of my cycle. I held it to 60 miles an hour all the way without a
hitch. I tallied up 230 miles for the day, But had to drive home in the rain.
The bike ran and handeled very well in the wet conditions. I had a great time.
Thanks Bill and Steve at S-K Leon from DePere, WIS.

Topic: Which bike with a sidecar?
Message: Hey there... I'm interested in getting a bike with a sidecar and I'm torn between the Enfields and the Urals. I like the old look of the RE's but I'm concerned about power and performance when a sidecar is added. Which bike is best to add the sidecar to? How does it impact performance? And, finally, please reply with your experiences. I don't think I need the 2WD systems so a Royal Enfield is a strong possibility.
Thanks,
Scott M

Topic: I had a 1963 750cc twin cylinderRE TT Interceptor
Message: In 1964 I bought a 1963 RE 750cc TT Interceptor. AT the time it cost
me somewheres around $1395.00 USD. At the time I loved that bike more then I did
my wife, more dependable and I always knew where it was at every night. rode it
from LA & all the way to Cincinnati Ohio & back during the summer of 1966. I
remember after finishing that trip completly rebuilding the bike uppping the cyl
bore by .060 and making the engine an 825cc. My reasoning for rebuilding the
motor mainly was because the motor & Bike lost over $45.00 worth of nuts and
bolts, and back those days $45.00 was a lot of money. Lots Of WEntworth screws,
nuts & Bolts. I changed all of the Wentworth threads to SAE, ALL 100% OF THEM
TO FINE THEM, plus I also reworked the frame and dressed up the engine quite
abit. After that trip plus my wife left me, Like I said the bike was a lots
more dependable then she ever was, I ended up selling it to my very best friend
for $900.00

Topic: Bonneville Speed record update
Message: I would like to express my shock and disappointment in my brothers and sisters in thier lack of support for this project!!! I was floored when I saw this update.
This is our brother !!!
He represents ALL of us and I want to put out a plea to all of my brethren to PLEASE support this endeavor.
Don't you want to play a part in this history making project???
Now that we all know the situation Dan is in I am confidant that my fellow Bulleteers will not stand by and see this project fall by the wayside. That's just NOT like us, is it???
I am just a housewife in a one income household but I will send another donation.
WHO'S WITH ME?
Let's send our brother in the style he should go!!!

Topic: Gas/Ethanol
Message: Saw in today's Wall Street Journal an article describing problems that
boatowners are having with gasoline that has 10% ethanol. Rotting fuel tanks,
clogged filters, tarry residue inside engines. Anyone know of any problems
using gas with 10% ethanol in motorcycles ? It would seem that gas will be
further cut with ethanol in future--up to 85% I have read.
