Topic: Indian Made Bullet 350
Message: I am interested in buying an Indian made Bullet 350; the enfield website says a bike purchased in India cannot be registered in the USA. Is this true?
email: copiron@comcast.net
Please read through the other posts on this site and see the tales of people who have tried to import one. US Customs normally seizes them and then you are out your money.

Topic: Hi!
Message: I live in India. Mine is a 1964 model military Royal Enfield (with almost all the original parts intact). I\'d be relocating to Canada soon - Surrey, BC to be specific. Can somebody tell me if mechanics for Royal Enfields can be found out there or not...
In case there\'s anybody who would like to see my babe, I'd be glad to oblige.
Regards,
Roshan Prasad.

Topic: Electra / NYC
Message: Hello Everyone, I'm thinking of getting a new Electra X. I live in Brooklyn and am wondering if any riders can share thoughts and experiences of riding and maintaining an Enfield -- specifically an Electra -- in New York City. Is it difficult to do maintenance in the street? Hard to find mechanics? How is it getting out of the city, or commuting within it?
Thanks for any insight you might be able to provide.

Topic: upgrade gear box?
Message: I just purchased a used bullet classic. Is there a way to upgrade it to a 5 speed gearbox?
email: dlodwn@yahoo.com
You can add a 5-speed transmission if you change it to right hand shift, buy a new primary etc. Other wise the engine and transmission both have to be replaced. As a practical matter it is best to just trade-up.
