Dear Dave,
We carry any part you could ever need for your 1999. Our website www.royalnefieldusa.com lists our extensive line of accessories but does not list the original equipment parts. We prefer that for those parts you call us toll-free so we are sure to get you the correct parts for your particular bike. We are also happy to give you technical advice for free. Just give us a call at 1-800-201-7472 M-F 9-5 CST We are sure that you will enjoy your bike!!
Regards,
Kevin

Topic: rear shocks
Message:dear sirs, i am thinking of changing the shocks on my 06 500 classic.
does anyone have any ideas about this? jb
email: royalenfield500@hotmail.com

You would probably be very happy with the shocks that come on the Electra. They are reasonable priced, adjustable and gas filled using the latest technology. They can be found here: http://www.royalenfieldusa.com/royal-enfield-shock-absorbers-electra-gasfilled-pair-p-7064.html

Topic: Engine noise
Message: I have a 2003 Royal Enfield Bullet. It has what sounds like a loose
valve(s) all the time. It's rather loud when idling. Is this normal?
email: jrmiller76@sbcglobal.net

Most Bullets especially Classic Bullets have a loud vavle train. We don't sell T-Shirts that say "Loud Valves Save Lives" for no reason. It is most likely perfectly normal

Topic: Interested in buying one of these bikes
Message: I am looking to buy my first bike and this one stood out to me. I
don't want to become a serious biker, but want to ride for fun here and there.
I'm a female and am 5 feet 9 inches tall. Would this bike be suitable in size
and purpose for me? I'd like the electra. Thanks for you help.
email: Trazi@tds.net

At 5'9" the bike is a good size for you. The Electra is a good first bike, have you also seen the Electra Classic?

Topic:good beginner motorcycle?
Message: Hi, I\'ve never actually ridden on a motorcycle and was recently
fascinated by motorcycles. I was wondering if getting a royal enfield would be a
good motorcycle, particularly the Bullet Military version. I\'m not afraid to
get my hands dirty with it, only if it doesnt require extensive knowledge on
vehicles (I basically have no idea about motorcycles). Ive read good reviews and
the specs seem very fit for me. Any comments or suggestions would be perfect.
Thanks in advance

The Military is a great bike that attracts a lot of attention! If you can read you can tinker with it. There are good manuals available, your dealer is a font of information and there are good user groups out there on the Internet - Go for it!!

Topic: cruising speed
Message: I was told by the dealer that you can not cruse with the 500 bullet at
us highway speeds, it is suposed to come apart. how much credibility should i
pay to this?

The Bullet Classic will go 70-75 mph flat-out. It is best when it is cruised at 55-60mph, it is NOT a good freeway bike, the electra engine can be ridden at higer speeds.

Topic: Chirping clutch
Message:Every time i de-accelerate and pull in the clutch i am getting a
chirping sound that decreases in frequency with a decrease in speed. i think it
is coming from the wheel drive side of the clutch linkage as when i hold in the
clutch and rev the engine i dont hear it. it is only when the wheels are moving
and the clutch is pulled in. does anyone know how i can fix this? thanks!
