Come hang out and check out all the old rides housed in this time-warp museum/workshop, complete with the authentic smell of Castrol.

Camp out Saturday night by the big lake in the forest completely free, with plenty of food provided. Then wind-down the weekend with a Sunday afternoon group ride from the fairgrounds to Lone Cabbage Fish Camp in Cocoa, Florida.

Ian Wallace – a Royal Enfield owner, MPVA member and vintage Military Vehicle enthusiast – recently undertook an epic journey with his Royal Enfield Bullet Military. He joined the 2009 MVPA Convoy for it’s historic trek across America, recreating the 1919 transcontinenal convoy of the US Army’s Military Transportation Corps.

Ian and his Bullet Military started in Washington, D.C. and traveled with the convoy through 8 states to Wyoming.

However, about an hour outside the convoy’s stop in Rawlins, Wyoming when the worst happened: Ian was struck by a car while riding his Military. Fortunately, Ian lived to tell the tale but unfortunately, he was badly injured and unable to continue his journey. We checked in with Ian recently who, despite still being in for treatment at the time, was good enough to send us a personal account of his trip:

In early November I spent two weeks in India. Much of my time there was spent with Mark Hoyer and Jeff Allan from Cycle World Magazine. They’re working on an article about our new bikes and the “New Royal Enfield Company”. In a companion piece, Peter Eagan from Cycle World is also doing an article on the AVL Bullet. I had a great time with Mark and Jeff and I think they also had a great time. Although these two are extremely well-traveled, this was their first time in India.

This is a great excerpt from the award-winning film by Gaurav Jani. It’s a documentary of his amazing solo motorcycle journey from Mumbai, India across incredibly cold and difficult terrain to one of the most remote and isolated places in the world, the Changthang Plateau, on the Chinese border. He made this incredible trip on his Royal Enfield, weighed down with more than 220 pounds of supplies.
