I have said it before, and I still mantain, that more than the speedo, its the Odometer that goes wild. Try to match a distance between two milestones with your Odo, and you will find, it reads 8-10% higher distance than actual  8)

I routinely take a lengthy trip to visit relatives.  I've driven by car and by the C5.  They both clock in at exactly 402 km at end of trip.  I won't mention those mornings where I always seem to get stuck behind the guy doing EXACTLY the posted limit.

I find it hard to believe I've got the only C5 out there with an accurate speedo/odo.

Makes me wonder if all those satellites are accurate ?  Isn't there some kind of Einstein .... time continuum, space distance.....stuff involved ? That all has to be calculated?  I wonder if there  "off".  :-\

As near as I can tell the speedo on my C5 is spot on.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

Now that the Interocitor is obsolete I don't keep up with that stuff.

Hold on.....hold on,  NOW i see after going through it, here's a quote from the thread.......Ya See?

" Our amateur measurements have shown that they jerk the line stretcher over a wide spectrum of time scales, ranging from a few seconds to ~1/2 hour, but that the long-term average is zero."

I figure that since it reads 10mph over the speed limit whenever I'm on the freeway and keeping up with traffic it's spot on.  This is America, no one drives the speed limit.

We kid around here, but it is interesting stuff.  I have the 19" on my C-5,  when I get a chance, and it may be a while. I 'll give it a try.  I have had it up to 85 last summer, so it would be cool to see what the real #'s are.
