Minda 7' headlight Kit
« on: June 09, 2011, 05:26:34 AM »
Simply Rocks!!

Mostly plug and play....But I had to " twist " glass some to line up the word "Minda" horizontally , and solder on a ground wire to a "Swiss" brand light socket.

I also purchased the 12v bulb. Can't tell much of a difference between high and low beam, but its mostly day time riding here.

Heres a different pic.

Nice!
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

Ebay, Royal Spares.

The kit is complete and comes with new chrome ring, glass, and light bulb wire
You need to also order a light bulb.

Looks like the one I got. I didn't know I needed a bulb. H4 didn't fit. Took tin snips to the H4 and now it fits but not well. Currently (pun intended) running a sealed beam but I just ordered an HID I'll try to fit in the Minda. I understand the nfieldgear Minda is an H4. Is yours?

I also ordered the Indian made light bulb. Made by "Swiss". Not sure of the watts.  Both Hi and low beam are the same with the bulb. But for my kind riding, that  is fine.

The 7" light can be seen by automobiles better.

Yes that is the one. It comes with everything  Except the bulb.

Order a 12v bulb as well.

These bulbs look different but they may very well fit in the same socket - I like the "more modern" appearance of the one from Vintage

THink they both would fit the socket for the Headlight that is provided??

I used the bulb with no spades. But had to solder a ground wire to the "Swiss: connector.

But the bulb with 3 spades might fit using the original head light wire......a  direct plug in.

My C-5 has a sealed bulb but there are 3 separate connectors that maybe I could use on the bulb but then I dont  have a socket for the back of the light ! There must be a socket to fit the back of the light that will fit stock halogen bulbs you can buy in NA

What's the difference if you use 3 wires separately or in one plug? Those sockets can be had at any auto parts store.

The morel of the story is.....If you want a Minda7" kit, buy it.

You could also order a bulb for a few penny's more (it will not increase shipping price)

Once you have the kit in your hand, you will be able to make choices about , this bulb, or that connector or not, solder or cut some wire, or not.

Yes that is true and I did order the Minda kit and the bulb frm the UK so will see how they work together.

That said I also have this on the way  and dont need it anymore so if anyone wants some rear turns signals as described send me 10 bucks and pay for the shipping they are yours
