Redesigned/Rerouted Air Cleaner and Seating Options

Just throwing out my two cents on this one since this is the forum for New Products and Improvement Ideas.
For improvement on the C5 I say re-rout the air cleaner to where the current tool box is located or somewhere else and free up the current airbox to be utilized as a toolbox like it was on the older models. the current "tool box" is only big enough to hold teh small tool roll and a tire pressure gauge and my registration. The air cleaner box would be the perfect size to store the tool roll, a spare inner tube or two, appropriate documents, a small can of chain lube, spare cables, bulbs and or relays etc.
As for new products on the C5:
1. Offer a truly retro solo springer seat. Think old 30's style Harley or Excelsior, Indian, etc. and have the options come with a truly universal installation kit that doesn't require drilling etc.
2. Offer a wider wheel and tire combo and the fenders to go with them.
Again, just throwing out my two cents into the ideas and improvements list. Love my C5. Its a total blast to ride and it definitely turns heads and gets lots of questions and stats conversations.

I was wondering why people don't use this space

My 2€ worth, the toolbox was swapped with the air cleaner because the EFI requires a longer intake track. The toolbox was in the right place. You could re-route it, but people who have shortened the intake have introduced running issues. Wider wheels would slow the responsiveness in corners. If you live in the flatlands and never corner, use a car tire. It will be fine. Look at all those choppers in the Midwest. The latest Harley (Blackline) went back to a normal sized tire. Also a fat tire makes it look too modern. When I rode with a bunch of sportbikes, they laughed at my "moped tires". They stopped laughing when I kept up in the corners.

I hadn't planned on shortening the intake length. I understand the concept of smoothing out the airflow before it hits the MAP sensor. My thing is this: If youre gonna have a tool box, make it useful enough to hold items such as inner tubes and spare cables etc as well as the tools.

I just bolted a Stanley plastic toolbox from Ace Hardware onto the passenger seat frame. Lots of room for tools.

Instead of removing the air filter.
put the unit in the box tools.
