I sold the 2010 DF and bought a 2012 DF last year. Solid bike if a bit under powered. What engine does the Kikker have?
The DF is a 167FMM (CG250) at 229 cc.

Modified a bicycle trailer by adding pit bike wheels for hauling garbage in the mountains where I will be migrating for the summer.

Hey Bar, The Kikker has a 200cc right now, the new HK3 models come with a 49cc but the wiring and engine mounts can be updated to 250 v-twin or parallel twin like the Honda or a chinese version with twin carbs.  Check out the Kikker site.  I am sure you are thick skinned enough to handle the crew.  They can be rough around the edges but are good hearted in nature.  Lots of vids on youtube like this one   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulqkck7I9To

Took the 'lil thumper out for 75 miles, enjoying some sunshine and warmth.  Back home the rear wheel got cleaned and the chain lubed.  I wish the bike had a center stand, so the rear bike stand has to be used for it.

Did about a 250 miler on the BSA Club Hanson Dam Ride yesterday. It was a beautiful day, just a light tad chilly, but beat the hell out of being too hot. the gang I got behind were mostly riding old Brit Thumpers, Gold Stars, Velocettes, Matchlesses, etc. And they were haulin' ass. I had to worked my butt off to keep up with them in the twisties! They were getting on with the program. Oh, yeah, a MotoGuzzi Falcone was leading the pack! Only a couple of REs at the Dam, a B5 and a '55 Indian 500 Twin. I've ridden with the guy with the B5 before. He's quite quick. But there was a great turnout. At least 4 Vincents were there, or at least that's how many I saw.
The ride went up Lower Big Tujunga to NAgeles Forest to Palmdale/ Elizabeth Lake down to Leona Valley for lunch, then to Francisquito Cyn to Spunky, to Bouquet Cyn and winding back down to Little Tujunga and back to the Dam.
The pic was taken pretty much after everyone had gone home.

Put away the XT225 dual sport for the 120 degree summer. Removed the aftermarket plastic gas tank, poured out the gas, washed it out good with soap and water (to prevent ethanol damage) rinsed it and put it back. drained the carb and filled it with Seafoam. Put a battery tender on it, put it in the back of the shed and covered it up.

Started renewing the front calipers on my 1984 Honda VF750F Interceptor - the grooves in the calipers which hold the piston seals and dust seals contained some sort of gummy stuff that made the pistons too tight so they wouldn't retract after the brake lever was released.  The rear had the same trouble which is now fixed.  Next is a new front tire, and it's on the road.

Later I removed the new recently installed rear set controls on my 1973 RD250B so I could remount them using Locktite, then installed the right side chamber that replaces the stock exhaust; the left side is next.  Then the bike will be ready for carb jet changes to keep it from running too lean with the chambers and the bird-strainer air cleaners that are also new, and it will be on the road as well.  I had "cafe'd out" this bike 2 years after I bought it new, using aftermarket parts available then but there are much better things available now even though the bike is 41 years old.  I had a full fairing with a headlight bucket in it that looked really nice, but the clip on bars that mounted on the fork legs between the triple clamps made the riding position too hard on my 72 year old back, so I changed them to Yamaha 550 Seca bars (from 1975 or '76) and left the fairing off.  Actually it's about an hour's work to switch it from fairing to no fairing and I'll do that someday just for fun.

What roads were you cruising Bob?  I used to live in the Pepin/Durand area?  Definitely some great riding in the Northwoods.   :)

Nice bike!  I am loving my Suzuki Supermoto - LOADS of fun.  Great bike for the backroads - but a good deal slower than that Italian with it's 400cc single putting out 40-45 hp.  Very curious how the v-twin rides.  My DRZ is just a few pounds heavier but it really goes/stops quickly.  I imagine the SXV is a beast.  What do you mean, "take it easy?"  ;)

My first bike was a VFR500 Interceptor and I loved it.  My buddy had the 750.  Have a weak spot for those red, white and blue rockets.
