If you have read the other topics in this forum, you know that Kevin Mahoney, owner of CMW, has kindly undertaken all the hard work involved in creating our new club, the REA or Royal Enfield Association. Currently, subscriptions are pegged to be $5 annually.

New information about subscriptions - where to send your money, what your subscription will mean... will be posted here as it becomes available.

Hi, nice first pass. In my experience as a designer, text over an image like that does not translate well when screen printed or especially made into a patch. It becomes hard to read or see the image behind the text. I'd be happy to help with a logo if you like. Seems like you are having to do all the work here...

Thanks for the offer, deejay. Kevin's been talking to people about patch design and the consensus seems to be that this logo will work allright with some modifications.

Whatever I ride, I really don't need another association to deal with...Hey, were all friends when you ride a Bullet. Like the man said the difference between a drunk and an alcholic is the drunk doesn't have to go to all the meetings. I was with an association for many years,,,,,,,,,,,,the USAF and as much as I love it ,,,I am done with it...........move on and ride the Bullet. If I see you, I'll wave........dg

I hear what you're saying, but for $5 you get the newsletter, patch, etc. I was sold when I read the sample newsletter with LJ's muggshot, I mean picture, on it.

Thanks for the REA subscription information by U.S. Mail. My computer couldn't work with the on line store for this. It kept saying I hadn't selected an item yet. I will mail it in. Thanks for doing this. It reminds me of Andy's Gang or the Smokey the Bear Club (with belt & buckle), only this is for grownups.

I am sorry to say that I will not be able to join the association, I went to my
bank to see if they would honour my check for the amount but with it being
such a small one it would'nt be worth my while.
As the bank charges on the check would be a lot higher than the amount on the
check. Anyway good luck with the association and I hope it goes from strength
to strength.

Is there a way that Mr Bear can use Paypal?

Speaking as someone who does embroidery -if it's not too late-
a round or oval patch will stay nice-looking longer. Sharp corners tend to "peel" or curl. Just saying...

Uncle Ernie, sorry I ddin't see this before. Contact customer service at CMW either by phone or email ... I don't know if they accept paypal or not.

Very true about the patch... guess I should have thought about that before! I'll send Kevin a redesign sometime in oval shape and maybe the next batch will be different...

Have you tried to call CMW and give the info to them with a credit card number over the phone? I have ordered parts from CMW that way and also on line as well.

You would have to set up a paypal account, I guess you it would be similar to a debit account.

If as editor (and apparently president, according to Kevin's blog on my diesel) of the REA I am not entitled to a penny off the subscription rate.... consider yourself out of luck on this...

You get to put a cool number in your signature and the right to lament the direction of the REA... Not to mention the news letters , which are nice.. Also, it is an organisation that any every member has as much input and affect on its direction as they feel they want. A rare thing in this day and age..

Oh, and the patch is pretty cool also..
