Looking for a cheap RE for diesel project
« on: July 09, 2012, 02:16:19 PM »
I would love to find a cheap RE for a diesel project in California.  Doesn't matter if it runs or not as I'll be tossing the gas engine but I prefer a four speed gearbox.  Diesel conversions are what made me look at the Enfields in the first place and it's time I pull the trigger and get a project going!

You could try to pick up one of those 350s floating about.

Or you could pick up this beast in Miami.   Sell the motor to someone wanting to fireball their bike.

Yeah, I think a 350 would be fine if I could talk the California DMV into registering it.  I've seen that Miami one.  If that was closer to me I'd bite.  It'd probably cost $700 to ship it out.
