Just HOW are these more comfortable..it looks like I might have to lean forward even more to grip them.

I meant more comfy than most clubmans, not stock bars.
Though the angle of the grips is wider the drop of the grips is less and the U section does not go as far forward as most. So in all these are closer to you and higher up.
