LONGER SIDESTAND ANYONE?

I just bought a sidestand off of a 1976 kawasaki H1. It looks like it can be adapted to fit my G5 deluxe pretty well, & shouldn't have any problem improving on the POS too-short stock stand. I'll put it on during the winter, & enclose a photo. Regards, Craig

Some time back, I added a piece of square aluminum tubing to the underside of my bikes kick stand.
It worked out just about right, giving the bike a moderate lean when the stand is down.

I have painted the tubing black so it doesn't look like a afterthought.

I have an ugly pipe fitting on mine. It's gross, but effective!

I don't know if the bikes imported and sold in Philippines are very different, but my side stand is the perfect height. The bike just leans slightly when on the stand. Any higher, and it would be unstable.

I think the issue is that the c5 and g5 have the same sidestand so it's fine on the c5 but with the bigger wheels the g5 leans too much. I don't mind- I use the center stand on flat surfaces. The short sidestand let's you park on steep hills with the sidestand on the uphill side
