Aaah..... a truly great band. You can't know just how evocative that is. My first trip to the USA in the seventies, four months on the road, five stoned hippies in a van, Allmans & Dylan all the way west and all the way back.
Every band in Underground Atlanta was trying to sound like the Allmans - and some actually did....
Now I'm old.
How did that happen..?
Sigh.....

Aaah yes, those were the days.
A different life for me. I still like the music from the "old days"

When I lived in Pensacola in the '60s some buddies of mine and I sneaked into a concert with the Allman Bros. I didn't really know who these guys were and I'd never seen them. I had to hit the head and as I walked into the loo I looked up and there was a girl in there! Oops, did I screw up? I turned back out and looked at the door. Sho,' Nuff, "MEN". I walked back in and realized it was one of them! Actually, I've even forgotten which one it was, but we did have a short chat in there. Very nice guy.
