I voted.I'm not saying who I voted for, but I will say that it wasn't either of the two major parties.

+1I rarely vote for Rep or Dem presidential candidates. Both have ideals I like and ideals I really hate. People say I'm throwing my vote away, but I say unless you vote for someone you actually believe in, rather than picking either side of a coin, then you are the one throwing your vote away.
Over the years, we've had several elections where third (or fourth?) parties not only ran but won.
Who is to say that the third party will not be corrupted in short order? But, we do have a third party, the extreme right wing of the (R) party. It has prevented any form of compromise, any progress, movement forward, and has accomplished a stalemate. Be careful what you ask for....
I am not sure Americans really have the faintest idea what an actual extreme left wing party actually is. I recall one group in my younger days where the Mao-ists actually went as far as firebombing a couple of the Lenin-ists cars
