I was surprised to see how much coverage the BBC gave the election. I was interesting to read the comments. Apparently they are as divided on our election as we were...are...

Who is to say that the third party will not be corrupted in short order? But, we do have a third party, the extreme right wing of the (R) party. It has prevented any form of compromise, any progress, movement forward, and has accomplished a stalemate. Be careful what you ask for....

              You seem to forget the FOURTH party; the extreme LEFT Wing which the president & his administration are members of.

Oh yes. The FOURTH party that has vowed to rename the country USSA (United Socialist States of America); that is led by a president who was first a not-good-enough-christian, then a muslim, then a kenyan, followed by unamerican, racist, who took your guns away, who authored the patriot act, took you freedom away, preventing you from voting, changed the curriculum to teach evolution in school, supports abortion, supports Citizens United, put left wing nuts on the supreme court, and believes (along with 97% of scientists) that humans have contributed to global warming. That guy, that party is indeed the FOURTH liberal party. 

That fourth party, whenever it does come into existance, shall also be corrupted by one interest group or the other.

I am not sure Americans really have the faintest idea what an actual extreme left wing party actually is.
