Have ya noticed these little underlined words in the messages are links that want to take you to places you don't wanna be? What's that about?
I hate all these little popups and flyover linkers that are showing up all over the web. POS. Very Annoying.

I'm not getting them on this site. You might have an infection.

(If you click that one, it will take you to this post.)
or are you seeing links that weren't added by the person posting a comment or topic?

If random words in your forum posts are highlighted and linked to advertising sites you have some sort of malware, probably a toolbar.

Yeah, the posts you put up have these in them. Guess I'd better do a search for strange critters!

Bare, try Spybot S&D:

Also, don't use Internet Explorer, it's very susceptible to malware.

I haven't used Internet Exploder for years. I scanned my machine and did found one boo. I don't know whether or not it took care of the problem yet.

That's a good one too. When someone brings their sick machine to me, I toss both those on it and scan first thing.

I did download Spybots and it did find some bits of a program I thought I had gotten rid of. But there were a few hangers-on from it. It took care of them. I had to go into the register to delete the first batch. The program wouldn't do it. It listed some others that had some lines in the register, but I couldn't find them in there. Maybe they were kicked out with the first deletions.

I'll try malwarebytes tomorrow.

Another useful utility is rkill.
When you run rkill it does not actually remove anything permanently it just temporarily disables any malware. This is extremely handy if your malware is smart enough to stop things like sbybot and malwarebytes from running.
