Installing baffle in reverse megaphone muffler

Hi all,

I recently bought a "shorty" reverse cone megaphone silencer, and a separate removable baffle that is supposed to be compatible. The plan is to replace the stock muffler on my 2009 AVL.

I'm told I have to drill a hole to attach the baffle in the silencer. My question is, can someone tell me exactly where I drill, and how to attach the baffle? Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

A picture of the silencer and baffle would help. Most of those have a removable reverse cone that is held on by screws or pop rivets where it fits onto the main megaphone. Pull that end out and there should be a short tube inside the end that the baffle will slide into. There should be holes in it for bolts to hold the baffle. Be sure to use Loctite on them or you will be needing a new baffle.
Without a picture, though, I'm only guessing at which muffler you have.
