Winter Storage
«

I recently had the first oil change (500 Km) on my new RE Bullet Electra. I was going to park for the winter right after that, but the weather has allowed me to ride another 200 Km. My dilemma is, should I change the oil again before parking it, or would it be clean enough to leave sitting for a few months. I realize this is a loaded question, but looking at the oil spy glass, it looks very clean still.
Thanks a lot

200 km shouldn't have put anything into the oil that will cause a problem is the oil was sufficiently warmed up during your ride.
You probably already know this but it would be a good idea to fill the fuel tank and then to add some Sta-Bil to the fuel. Then start the engine and let it run so the mix can get down into the carburetor.
The full tank will keep the walls from rusting and the Sta-Bil will keep the fuel from breaking down.
It would also be wise to pull the battery and put it on a battery tender so it is kept at a full charge all winter.
