hey craig, I didn't see your post until now. I actually was seeking out this thread in order to reply to you.
My dad will be bringing 4 tappet covers down this weekend for a test fitting(my parents are visiting for easter...it's crazy how often parents want to visit when you have their first grandchild..hah)
As long as they fit well I will be getting your email address from you again and I'll drop one in the mail.
Glad that we are almost there!

Be sure to include a photo of the plate in a post so we can see it.

definitely, I've also got some new black swing arm nut covers coming that my dad made as well.
I lost my original ones on my first ride..haha.
it's nice knowing someone that works at a tool & die shop.
he can machine up just about any random thing I end up losing or break on the bike.

Hi, Are we talking a finned plate? If so, I'd I'd prefer it in just the bare aluminum. So no need to paint it. Can't wait to see it. Thank you so much!

hey craig
I've got a smooth(flat) plate. one that is polished, one that is bare aluminum.
unfortunately my dad is still working on the finned ones. but he is close to finishing those up.
ill attach pictures in a second

yes it is possible. unfortunately my dad is still working on those. but I'd rather have one of those as well....
he has the fins cut out but needs to take them back to work and cut down the edges to match the engine.
I was a little bummed that they weren't done yet but I can tell you that they are going to be amazing once they are.
in the mean time if anyone wants a crack at the polished cover or the sandblasted cover let me know. hitchcocks sells their EFI covers for 12 pounds, roughly $18 US. I'd say a $20 including shipping is fair if anyone wants either of those.

Hi Brandon, I don't mind waiting for the finned one at all. It is also OK/preferable to me if your dad does NOT countersink the screw holes-because I have some nice stainless plain allen head screws already. It will also save him some one operation. Thanks, Craig
