G5 deluxe mirrors

The mirrors on my 2010 Bullet Deluxe a so short as to be useless.
NField gear offers extensions but say they will only fit the c5.

Anyone know if this is true?

If so does anyone have a solution?

It is very freaky not being able to see behind me and dangerous too.

have to say I love my standard mirrors on my 2011 G5 . Give a real nice view of my elbows and not much else no matter how much you adjust them ,after-all that's all I want to see in them , right?

Napoleons work great for me. The added weight on the bar ends helps with the vibration as well.

I'm using some very good $15. Bar-Ends I got on Ebay in conjunction with some repro Hella Bar End Signals. The mirrors are slightly convex & steady enough to give an excellent view.
  I have found good mirrors to be very valuable in spotting car top Light-Bars before any mischief is done. Enclosing a picture of mine.  Cheers!

I use the same mirrors (only in black) and I love them so much ~ I bought a second set just-in-case I crunch one.

They are cheap, work well, and slightly convex. - the perfect combination !

I'm not worried about light bars sneaking up behind me, I ride mostly on the belt-way 'round town and I'm watching to make sure I don't get run over !!!!!

I like your signals!  where did you get them?   Do they make them with an acorn shaped lense ?  how is the wiring routed ?

Napoleons are probably the easiest to mount. And offer a lot of positioning options.

My signals are pretty exact repros of the 60 year run of german Hella's, except they have longer shanks. I was able to make a spacer ring to mount the mirrors on. I bought them from BLUEMOON SCOOTERS in vietnam. they were MUCH cheaper than original Hella signals. they are routed through the Handle bars (some drilling required) There are several different contemporary styles of signals for sale on Ebay. I'm fond of the traditional period style of the Hella's.

just remove the allen from the weights and use it or a longer one to mount the mirrors.
i mounted my mirrors outside the weights because i wanted the weights to help reduce the vibrations.

Mine is an E5 which is similar to yours.
Mirrors are just fine for riding in shirt; so not so much for us, with our padded vests.

Bar end mirrors are the top solution of course, but they wouldn't work for me. I can't afford another nanometer more in width.

What did work for me was also economical. Pushing the mirror stem more forward resulted in a good rear view on the left. Same trick didn't make perfect to the right, then... does right needs correction?
(we drive on the right side).

whether this trick works for you or not do check out Hitchcocksmotorcycles.com, handlebar/fixings part 92569 is a set of extensions that will fit our Electra's. Good news, these are adjustable!
