Sadly I am unable to find anything other than 20W Motul Fork Oil for my forks. No other grade in any brand is available here. Castrol and Endurance is selling some fork oil but no grade is mentioned on the packaging. The dealer doesn't know about the grade either. Should I go ahead with 20W or search a little more?

Mail order is a great option, eBay or any other vendor.  Another option would be automatic transmission oil, several people have reported good results with it.  I know 10w works, I think 20w would be too thick but i haven't tried it.   Normally I'd say try it, but if it doesn't work it's a real pain to change it.  Since I don't know if it works and it's a lot of work to change it if it doesn't, I can't endorse using 20w.

Had to add; Enfields Factory Manual calls for 10w30 conventional dino motor oil-which equals & behaves like 20w. Mr Snidal recommends synthetic ATF in his improved manual. ATF is 20w, Synthetic is more rubber friendly & seldom needs changing. I'm running Amsoil ATF in my G5 fork, & am very pleased with it, as it has dramatically improved handling-just like Mr. Snidal claimed.

I would second the use of ATF. I am using it in the forks on three bikes, it works very well.

Whatever original stuff came out was crap, even if it was 10w30.  Thin snd nasty.  Decent 10w30 seems a little thinner than the 10w fork oil I put in, I don't see how it would act like 20w. 

If you can't get 10w fork oil I would go with ATF or the recommended 10w30 motor oil.
