Eager to confirm my position as most finicky member, I had to comment on the CORBIN SEAT, Known affectionately by those of us who've owned them as KILLBUN SEAT. I put one on a BMW a decade ago, & it was overpriced, Hard & uncomfortable, & wide enough to cause a hip kink reaching for the ground. My second KILLBUN was already on the Kawasaki W650 I bought, Same exact complaint + it was slippery leather & hard to stay-put on. Customer service I saw promised was nonexistant, I could never get them to reply to calls or Emails. I advise trying to re-pad & recover an existing seat pan or something else. If you don't believe me, the cost alone should put you off.

Corbin seats are VERY firm and have that deep dished shape.  If that's not for you you won't like it at all.  I had one on my ZR7 many moons ago and loved it.  My wife and I could do 300 mile days together no problem and no discomfort.  It seems to be a love it or hate it thing.  Most people who hate them seem to like Sargent seats.

I too liked the Corbin I had on my W650.  Hard, yes bot guess I had the bulk to break it in.

I have a Corbin Gunfighter on my Suzuki Bandit 1200 and a Corbin Canyon Dual on my Honda ST1300.  Both are very firm, but both are significant improvements over the stock seats.  I don't feel the need to change the seat on my RE C5.  I like the look of the solo seat and I like the spring suspension.  I just ordered the RE color matched pillion through a local dealer.  The C5 isn't my first choice for two-up riding , but I like having the option.

We supplied the bike for Corbin to develop the C5 seat on. We've sold I think 6 of them. Most are to riders who are inseam challenged and want to be flat footed and, have a nice period looking bench seat.
The bonus is the set of included saddlebag mounting rails I asked them to create that fit the RE bags or most strap on type bags.
They even clear the upturned home market exhaust. Something the stock seat set up won't do.
One can add the passenger backrest as an extra cost option.
We have one "low" type in stock if anyone would like a new Corbin at a bit of a discount.
Most Calif. customers order thru us then take the bike to the factory in Hollister to get the seat made custom to be low or tall, wide, narrow, or whatever suits them and to choose the material they want. No extra charge and start to finish in 5-6 hours or so.
I've sold Corbin's for 15 years, ridden on them since 1985.
3 of my bikes have them right now. Me? I'm happy.

That's true, we have I think 4 Corbin's for the most popular BMW's on a display rack along with one for the C5. It's a chunk to buy, but from it we sell a lot of seats. Folks can try them, take them for a test ride etc. since we are 2 hours from Hollister, we use the display seats to illustrate the difference in the bucket and padding, and set up appointments for the true custom seat.
One footnote on Corbin seats: many of the people who have complaints with them bought used seats that may have been ordered to suit another riders framework or, the seat is so sun baked or old that THAT's why it's on eBay and not on the original bike it was purchased for. A new Corbin can be exchanged or slightly modified if your location makes a ride in fitting impossible.

I had a K/Q corbin on my XS1100 ....  it was the most comfortable bike seat I've ever ridden.

I believe even if you can't ride there you can get one modification done for free after you receive and try it out.

Sorry to keep waving the Corbin flag, but they will do at least one re-do for you. Note this is on new seats purchased from them or a Corbin dealer, not a seat you picked up on eBay or was on a bike you bought used. Corbin gets bad press because only one side of the story gets told on forums. Best to buy from a dealer, then you have a voice in your corner if there's a problem. The price is the same. In fact, we sell them for a bit less than the MSRP on the website.  Also, Corbin Florida is not as responsive as Corbin Ca.

Posting a link to picture of a Corbin seat on an C5 for reference only.  I don't have one of these seats.  The long seat might be a nice change for a C5.

I just wish Corbin had done a solo seat too.  I would have snapped one of those up right away.  Sorry, but the C5 just looks awesome with a solo seat.

For what its worth, I was at the local Enfield dealer yesterday and they informed me that have a factory bench type seat on its way to fit the C5. Evidently there are potential customers that like the C5 but not the solo seat.

I liked the Corbins I had on a couple of bikes real well. I had one on a 900SS, I still have it if anyone's interested, and one on My Triumph Sprint RS.
My only problem with them is that they have a big hole to slot your butt into and if you want to slide around during some sporty riding, it's rather difficult. Otherwise, they were great!
