Here's a photo. T.P.S. plug is in the centre of the photo -pretty close to the positive lead on my C5

Thanks for the info and pic.  My list of things to troubleshoot when having an electrical problem continues to grow, but it's better that sitting stranded for hours just to find out you could have fixed the problem in 2 minutes.

Ask me how I know.

Just back from a 60 mile run. The bike ran extremely well and trouble free.
In fact that well I saw 200 come up - then realized that was the distance to the 'T' intersection in the road  ;D

Following a good 150 mile at the weekend it appears that my bike is back again and running well.
If I had not checked the CEL for the fault I would be -either not riding or back to the dealer.
Just lucky i guess the T.P.S. lead was not locked in correctly and the final click solved the problem. :)
