Front brake cable change

Any simple advice for doing this before I start? Mine is frayed down at the adjuster and I better take care of it at home rather than on the road.

Just the usual stuff.
Now would be a good time to go through the brake system from the tip of the lever to the surface of the drum and give things a good cleaning and looking at.
My self I lube the hand lever pivot, the cable and both the lugs on both ends of it.

I can break it better,,,,at night, in the rain, on the trail,, 20 miles from nowhere.
