I just hauled a bullet in a GMC Yukon. Remove mirrors, suck the forks down with a couple ratchet straps, let the air out of the front tire, and in it went. I loaded it with the back wheel to the front.

its a 2004 pontiac Montana, 38 in at the rear tailgate, ( there is a lip at the bottom of the gate) 44" inside the van at the tightest spot. I am thinking of taking the trailer, but it is almost 800 miles to where Im getting the bike, and I live in Iowa so would rather keep the bike inside ( rain and snow). Better gas mileage without trailer, and can make better time. Thoughts??  Also Thank you to everyone who has helped. I am hoping I can become a owner soon.

Forgot to post about the bike, its a 2010 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 C5
10 C5 Royal Enfield
07 Triumph America
99 Yamaha Venture
74 Honda CL 360
68 BSA Starfire

I'll check the measurements on my bike tonight if I can.  Should be the same as yours.

If you lean the bike close to the peg as it enters the door opening, the height shouldn't be a problem. Put the ramp towards one side if the doorway opening and walk it up the ramp leaned over towards the the side without the ramp. It fits easily, with mirrors off. Once inside you can shimmy it over and stand it up if you want to secure.

Rent a UHaul when you get there and tow the bike back.

Thanks for getting the measurements Royalista.

With as tight as it sounds, I'd probably just tak the trailer you have. A little more time and gas beats the hassle of trying to shoehorn it in and out.  But I'm lazy :)

Well it fit, Took off the mirrors, and that was it. One handlebar was a bit high, just rocked it back and forth a bit, was really quite easy. Hauling it home in the snow was a snap, and the new to me Enfield stayed happy and dry in the back.
Thank you all for you input. I might post a pic. I can tell that Im going to enjoy this site (not as much as the enfield though)
