A Custom Bicycle I built My Kid
« on: March 05, 2013, 06:37:42 PM »
I was going through my photobucket pics when I came across this one.  It's a custom bike I built my son for his 6th birthday.  It was a lot of fun building.   :)

LMAO  Funny you should say that.  That was actually one of my first custom projects from start to finish, and I built it almost 6 years ago.  And yes, the neighbors were jealous!    :D   My son kept telling me he wanted a chopper bike, so I built him this custom one.  I took a 16" bike that I already had laying around, chopped the front tube and stretched it 8" and then scavenged the fork from an old mountain bike that I had.  I boxed in the frame and went to town on the paint and bought some aftermarket lowrider parts.

It was pretty cool, he'd be riding down the street and guys on Harleys' would stop and give him thumbs up and ask him about it.  Unfortunately, Coby has long out-grown the bike and now it just sits around.
