Thanks guys - and THANKS Gashouse Gorilla for having faith in those wildly modified parts for the bike! The article was great - but skipped over the blood, sweat and tears that went into that bike - but the learning curve was outstanding! Gorilla's body, paint and fabrication are off the end of the chart for excellent - and I got to utilise a couple of years of experience in the engine machining biz as well as some old-fashioned tried and true racer-boy tricks. All said - I'm stunned at the result. The bike is WAY more than the sum total of its parts - it has SOUL! That machine is the difference between assembling a motorcycle - and BUILDING one .... with a #4 mill bastard file, a welder, a small lathe and a drill press (complete ScooterBob machine shop .... Hahaha!) It's amazing what a couple of Celtic boys can come up with in their spare time with a few junk parts .....
Holy Shit!!!!!! 5000cc!!!!!!!Tell me Gorilla, what IS your secret? Seriously though, WAY cool. Congrats on the feature!Scottie
I think ghg's bike is one of the coolest custom bikes ever as it has the personal owner's touches, kind of like reading a book that tell a story about the author.
Congratulations to you both are in order from what I've heard.Cheers
Fantastic ! The attention to detail is meticulous, and the personal touches show well. Its really beautifully done, MUCH better than the totally uninfomred buffoonery from the cafe racer guys. Now, about the go-fast stuff. The last time you posted you were still tuning the PC-V and were unsure of the dyno numbers...All squared away on that?
Yes thanks,I agree, more so to ScooterBob in this case though. The performance is the difference here, I think. Otherwise it might have just been a cool looking C-5, that didn't go anywhere.
.... It's NICE to have one under the belt that runs good AND looks like it belongs to someone besides Fred Sanford! Hahahaha!!
[quote author=gashousegorilla link=topic=16626.msg182558#msg182558 date=1371503624 GHG, what are the numbers ? Did you really double the hp and torque as the magazine states?
Welp..... technically you may not hold the titles? But I don't thinks old Grady through these babies together !
