I put a pair of Barkbusters on my B5 last week and the bars vibrated so bad it put my hands to sleep.  Last Monday I filled the bars with #4 lead shot and that seems to have tamed the beast.  Sometimes the old ways are the best ways.

I guess vibrations are personal things. My RE vibrated some, but was never an issue. It didn't put my hands to sleep or any other such thing. In fact, I thought it was rather comforting. My SR500 vibrated a lot more than the Enfield and did put my hand to sleep. A friends old Yamaha XS(excessive vibes)-650 twin was far worse than the SR-500. I had an MZ-250 Six Days and a Maico 360 that I could ride two or three miles and just couldn't hold on any more. They were that bad.My Goose has a light vibration mode which has reduced a lot since it's broken in. It initially as about the same as the Enfield in some RPM ranges, but, like I said, it has smoothed out considerably. When I test rode it, the salesman asked me if I thought it was really smooth. I had to tell him, "No, it was about the same as the Enfield!" He didn't believe me, I guess. But it was! It's almost unnoticeable now.
Different bikes definitely have different vibrations. I like the low speed thumper shake a lot better than the high RPM buzz that a lot of fours have.

Vibranators price is too high for me, so I went to the hardware store and picked up two short brass pipe from the plumbing department. Added a brass end cap with theaded rod through the center. I installed two rubber plugs (also from the hardware store) to the other end of the theaded rod.  I then forced assembly into the handlebar, rubber plugs-end first.  I'm not sure if it reduces vibration, but I like the way it looks and I had fun building it.

Bare  +1  thats why  i got rid of my suzuki 650 gsg after getting used to a bullet

If your Enfield doesn't vibrate you might get off going down the road thinking it quit :o  ;D. Seriously have any of you raced your Enfield backwards?...... on the center stand on smooth concrete in neutral rev it up & it will go backwards. We used to do it at a old Triumph BSA dealer I worked at in the 70s, hilariously funny to do. I don't know if it will work if your rear tire is on the ground though. Try it see what happens. ;D

I am sure you folks have thought of this, but hey, I'm old, I can repeat others info and make like its mine. I can even get away with it some days.  ::)  search on eduro bar end weights. they look about the same to me and are half the price.  http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/driven-racing-d-axis-bar-end-weights  around $42.00 

I read a long time ago on a Kawasaki forum, If your handle bars are hollow, Fill em with lead shot. I would think 8 shot would work well. Same reasoning. adds a bit of weight to the bars to dampen vibration. The forty dollar end weight look good.

SR400s don't have crankshaft counterweights, not did SR-500s. My Enfield never caused me any discomfort from vibrations. I've seen vibranator style counterweights before, I think some bike I had had them, but I honestly don't remember what they were in or whether they did anything or not. They must've worked pretty well. I don't recall any bike bothering me with vibes. Not true, my SR500 would put my hand to sleep after awhile. It wasn't bad, as I barely remembered it, but it was there.

My KTM 640 had a small counter balancer  and still vibrated more than My Bullet. I put some bark busters on a WR500 Yamaha, after 1 ride I took them off they made the bars too ridged and vibrated your hands numb. I got some that were all plastic except for the alloy mounts and no more bad vibes in the grips.
