When I replaced those ugly plastic turn signals with the metal bullet type I used the red lens signals on the rear of the bike and the amber lens signals on the front.

I like what you've done there Arizoni.  Those metal ones look nice.

For my B5, I like the larger round (stock) trafficator.  My plan is to find RED lenses and then modify the wiring with a couple transistors to change their function to a combo brake-light and flasher.

I think your problem is, DOT, in their infinite wisdom, decided turn signals should be amber, both front and rear.

If you are determined to have red rear turn signals your only option might be to go to a hobby shop and see if they still make spray cans of Candy Apple Red paint.
With enough coats of that on the inside and outside of the lens it could be made to look more red than amber.

Some of the newer motorcycles might also offer clear lenses for use with a amber bulb.  Those would look pretty good with 5-10 coats of Candy Apple paint on them.

I have seen a number of modern Harleys with red rear turn signals wired just as Gremlin indicates he wants.

Here are a couple of possibilities.  Royal Enfield Zone has a red assembly. Most of the rest are for clear trafficator assemblies. You could try contacting them to see if they sell just the lens as a replacement. Bullet Walla is the only one I found that listed just a clear lens.
