Sealed Battery
« on: July 11, 2008, 09:08:25 PM »
FYI for Classic Bullet riders, the sealed battery CMW sells has a few differences from the standard  battery:

1. The poles are reversed
2. The battery is slightly larger than stock (but does fit in the stock box).

These two things combined means that (a) you need to relocate where the ground lead attaches to the frame and (b) the positive lead will short out against the frame unless you shim the battery box out by 1/2 inch or so.

Not a big deal, and the battery works great, but the differences caught me by surprise.

I relocated the ground wires to the bolt that holds the battery box to the frame.
