Handlebars on a C5
« on: May 21, 2014, 06:52:41 PM »
The stock handlebars on the C5 have never done it for me. They look oddly 80's on a 50's bike.

I was looking at the "Classic Cafe" bars in the catalog. (Z91136 (Cafe)) Has anyone put these on? Is there interference with the tank at full lock?

I feel the same way bout those C5 bars, I've lowered the seating height on my 2012 as much as possible & am thinking through the baby apes add-on.
The cables & brake hose are strictly a $ issue, BUT, the electrical issue is where I'm a bit stumped.
My 2002 iron barrel was cut, solder, heat shrink & done, no problem.
My C5 I'd rather add on a "pigtail" type extension, but cannot locate the male/female connectors to make them.
Every upgrade makes the bike more comfortable to ride & appealing to look at. Be sure to post a pic when ya get those new bars on, Thanks, R.Tillery
