New owner of 2003 Bullet ES 500. After warming up, engine begins to cut out then dies. Restarts with choke. After thirty seconds, cut choke off and engine runs well for about two miles. Same restart with choke - then engine runs well for another two mile stretch. Any ideas?

Clean the carb, clean the airfilter. Make sure the gas in the tank is new, not been there forever.

While you're at it install a fuel filter.

Im not sure about your 2003 model, but my 2000 has a catch can under the air filter which will occasionally fill with oil from the crankcase breather system. If this can gets to full it will clog your air filter with oil. You might check this along with the carb and fuel delivery system.....Dew.
