            That was great to look at & read. What a great guy. What a great trip. What a great bike. I hope he publishes a book or a video; I'll buy them.
I wish I had done something like this (maybe not Quite as far) before I got so crippled up.

              As is the case with a lot of you "young folks", he gets suicide clutch & jockey shift all confuzzled. That '52 harley has a normal tank shifter, not a "suicide shift". And it's not a suicide clutch at all with which if your foot slips off (or if you don't hit neutral before you stop) at a stop light brings on the suicide part; hence the name suicide Clutch, not suicide shift. It's a stock harley rocker (heel/toe) clutch for those days that locks down in gear when you stop so you can put both feet down which negates the suicide part. And it's jockey shift, not suicide shift.
