bar end mirrors

Well my bar end mirror won't fit. It only goes about half way through the clutch grip and won't tighten down, I think the nut is too big? And even if it would fit my clutch lever hits it. If I put it far enough out of the bike (3/4" of an inch) to avoid the lever than it is way too far out of the grip to stay in. And I would have to move the clutch lever really far to avoid the mirror, which wouldn't be a big deal if the mirror fit.
Did I mention I had to cut my grip which now has a big hole in the end? And I don't see those grips on the website. They're hard and say "Royal Enfield" on them.
I guess I'll send it back, anyone have any ideas?

There is a rather extensive thread going also titled "Bar End Mirrors" in the Electra and AVL section of this forum. You might want to check it out - it could have the answer you are looking for!

There are a few people selling them (grips) on the British eBay site, one is that chap from India so I would imagine he would post to the US too?

Parvo,
Do you have the Electra model? If you do I believe there is a weight in there to reduce the vibration. No sure if there removable. You may have to post in the classic or AVL threads.

Had slight difficulty also installing them. If you bought them from the Enfield store here they do fit. Just have to muscle them abit. On the clutch side move your control in about 3/8ths of an inch and it will clear the mirror.
