don't know about the gold star but, the british one is faf superior than the indian one.sound wise and chrome wise. and has the baffel option.

I went and looked at a bike a few weeks ago that had the GoldStar muffler on it.
Way way too LOUD for me. Didn't even sound good kinda loud.
Looked ok though.
I've had the Indian classic system (long pipe/short muffler) on mine for 9 yrs now and it is getting louder as it gets older but still not as ear piercing as the goldstar muffler was.
My new bike (2001 classic) has the same muffler as my 99 has but is much quieter than the 99.

I really like the Gold Star muffler. It isn't real loud if you don't rev it a lot, sounds great on the open road, improves both power and gas mileage........Dewey.
If it hurts, you're not dead yet!!!!!

I ordered the 50's exhaust, but it is back ordered. :'(
