Now I know they're waaay up under there and hard to see. But every little
Shiny, Chromy bit makes it that much Sweeter. ;)

Take 'em off and polish 'em up!

Steel wool first to knock off the surface bumps(they'll look sort of dull after this part), and then use a buffing wheel, or a buffer attachment to your electric drill, and some polishing compound. That will bring up a nice shine.
They'll look great if you take your time doing it.
