Cheng Shin K70 copy tires.......

I usually don't buy cheap tires on my bikes, but a few weeks ago a friend convinced me to try the Cheng Shin tires. I have had these tires on bikes before and replaced them right after buying the bikes. The street tread tires were always hard as rocks and slick as snot. The on-off road and vintage copy tires are made of a different formula of rubber. These tires grip like denture cream and are as soft as a baby's butt. The ride is also fantastic, with no balance problems. I don't know about how long they will wear, I got 6500 miles out of my stock Avons. I ride pretty fast (well....as fast as a RE will go) so my tires don't last very long. Got both tires for less than $100 with shipping so they are relatively cheap. So far I highly recommend these tires, they perform well and look good on the bike........Dewey.

The bad news is that it looks like they are discontinuing those tyres. We got a lot of good customer reports from them too. They seem to be pulling back in the motorcycle tyre business.

I put one (3.50-19) on my drive this year, works well for me but is over half wore out at around 3000 miles. Sorry to hear that they're going away.

I had one last 2.1K miles on the rear of my Bullet w/hack and the current one will be about the same. But that's still only 600 miles better than the original Avon.
Looks like the original front tire (Avon) will last 6,.5K miles while the hack's tire is just beginning to show wear after 5.6K miles

I have been pondering which tires to put on next, but my stock Avons still look like new at over 10k.

Try this:
http://www.tiresunlimited.com/ALL%20TIRES/Dunlop/dunlop_vintage_k70.htm
They're using the Dunlop logo, so I'm hoping they're genuine Dunlop, (I'm probably in denial).
