Installing Bar End Mirrors and turn signals

Hi all,
Thought I'd post my latest mod.
I just installed a set of retro BMW style bar end turn signals I got off ebay, along with a set of inexpensive bar end mirrors, also off ebay. These were Hyabusa and the mirrors cost $25 and the turn signals $40.
I really like the look of the retro turn signals!
You do have to drill a hole in the handlbars and run wire, but I found that it was very easy to do. I just drilled a small (quarter-inch) hole on either side of the main yoke, on the under side of the handlebars, and then ran wire through till it came out the end.
Because I can't move my throttle control any further inward, I did a small mod on the right side turn signal and by adding a bronze ring (7/8 OD) over the bmw turn signal, created enough room to clamp the mirror on as well. Both mirrors and turn signals mount extremely solidy.
Total time for mirrors and turn signals, including soldering and shrinkwrapping wires; two hours.
To protect the wires, I slid a piece of 1/8 vinyl tube over the wire where it enters the handlebars, to keep it from rubbing and shorting out.

I'll post about it when I get it complete and all the electrics finished...

I'd like a wider shot to get the whole effect, please?
You realize you can't drop your bike now...

Neat idea.
Does anybody know if bar end turn signals are a road legal replacement for conventional front and real units in the UK?
I can vouch for the effectiveness of mar end mirrors. I have just installed one and it gives a rock steady vibration free view, whereas my old stalk-mounted one was blurry.

I think those turn signals were developed by BMW for some German law at the time (early 60's?). Check with the local constabulary?
