Available Colors

Can anyone explain why the two tone color schemes (i.e.red/white) advertised in the British classic bike magazines  are not available in the U.S.? For those who haven't sen them, they are very cool.

I don't know.
We were never told why. Kevin just said that color would be available later than the others, and coming later this year.

I assume that you are referring to the C-5 color scheme. The Brits and other Europeans got the first C-5's, ours come next. The Brits did not order any G-5's because those are models developed by me for the US market. They are now being sold elsewhere I think. They did order E-5's as they sell very well in the UK.
  You have to remember that the Europeans had nothing to sell this year until the UCE engines came out. With Euro 111 the Lean Burn engine could no longer be sold.
This is one of the reasons they got them first.  I can tell you that the Red and white are beautiful shades and really look good.

The G-5 uses an Electra frame too, but it's repainted to more resemble a Classic, and the front fenders are more substantial/less sporty.  The E-5 caters more to European customers, whom have apparently flocked to the Electra.

G-5= Electra frame with alterations
E-5= Electra frame, fenders and all, with the new engine being the only change.

First of all go to www.bulletclassic.com It will give you a good idea of what it is all about. It is basically new from one end to the other. 60% of the parts in the C-5 are new and developed from scratch.
