Tank-mounted fuel pump....Problems?

I understand that tank-mounted pumps have been a concern in some bikes (namely Moto Guzzi). The problem arose with the pump fittings being attacked by the Ethanol in that gas, causing degradation and failure. Has this been addressed in the new RE's?

This was asked before, and the answer we were given is that the RE pump does not have fuel lines inside the tank that can degrade.

I'll add a bit more, here as well ..... Keihin is MORE than aware of the miserable fuel quality in this country - and their stuff is about bomb proof because they have been making fuel parts for this country forever ... Worry not, young squire!
