What's right with these pictures?

I went to a big car/bike show over the weekend, got dozens of cool pictures. There are two I thought I'd post here along with the question... What looks familiar about these choppers?

Well, the 45 reminds me of my old 1941 45 and the shovelhead reminds me of my old 73 superglide. What am I missing?

Ummm...
They use the same aftermarket turn signals as we do.

And to think, I thought that because they were all choppers, they were ugly.

The first time I saw a chopper as a young boy (1967) was on I-5 in Seattle. The forks had to be about 10' long. It was some hippie biker dude with his momma on the back. He had his feet up on the highway pegs and his arms crossed laying on his belly. I peered out the back seat window in amazement at what I was seeing. The dude looked over and gave me a peace sign, I gave one back. My dad (conservative white collar) noticed the exchange, rolled down his window, gave the guy the bird and told him to get a haircut. Well anyway that was just one of many instances that got me hooked on motorcycles. I think it was the movie, "On any Sunday" that really did me in and later took it's toll on my dad to finally give in and help me buy my first bike, a 1965 CB 90.
Peace, Blltrdr

Two gentleman on Harley touring models pulled alongside our station wagon and made quite an impression on me as a four year old boy. Rode ( and crashed) a mini bike at five and loved every second of it. Its been down hill ever since

My uncles were Indian riding dirt track racers when I was a kid in California, I was riding on the gas tank before I could walk. Motorcycles are the only thing in my life that has remained constant, as John Wayne once said, "In general I've had a hell of a good time"
