L I B 58. And I find the that gravity is stronger on the back side of the hill !

I told my wife tonight that I rode the last steam train to Boston when I was a kid. She thought I'd better keep that recollection to myself. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

My first road ride was on a Yamaha 100cc electric start. I was 17 and I was hooked, but Dad wouldn't let me own a motorcycle while I was under his roof. I was a few years on my own before I owned my first bike, a used 1970 (?) Yamaha DT250 when I was 21. I can remember that because I was bartending at the time. But for all the good times I've had, and the memorable rides and bikes, I have a hard time remembering what year they were. I still can't remember the whereabouts of my 1974 RD350. For a few years after I moved (that time) to the east coast I would wake up in the middle of the night in a panic. I was sure I had left a motorcycle in someone's shed.... somewhere...

LOL, That reminds me, years ago some university students were producing a very popular series of books called "FOXFIRE" that were about the older southern mountain people of the US. and the way they lived their lives. On one piticular day they were riding around on the back roads and spotted an old man sitting on the porch of his log cabin and stopped to talk to him with the hopes of finding some additional information for the lateist book they were working on. One of the students asked the old man "Sir, what do you atribute to your many years on this earth?" "Well," he thought for a minute and replied " I drink a quart of Jack Dainlels wiskey and smoke a couple of packs of Camel cigerattes every day,,,,,"   Wow!!! said one of the students interviewing him. "How old are you anyway" The old man thought for a minute and then replied, "I'll be twenty seven next month."

Hi I am 56 and my Bullet Electra is the 5th Bike that I have owned. Had an old Excelsior 125 cc when i was a kid that my Dad brought home from somewhere,
My first real road bike was a 1980 Suzuki GS250 (always remember your first with some affection)  then moved to a Harley 883 Sportster to satisfy a desire I had to own a Harley (got over it) Suzuki VX800  and now the Bullet, and maybe its my age  Smiley but I reckon it is the best handling bike that i have had.

Hi Velo Fellow...

I went to look at a  Velocette Thruxton to buy but it had problems and I bought a new Guzzi Le Mans Mk4 instead... Still kicking myself over that.

I,m coming up to 65 in March and have two bikes,
a Honda CB360 1974 for tinkering with and a 2009
EFI 500 Bullett.  I,ve only been back riding these last 3 years
Trying to catchup with my youth when I started with  BSA Bantams(2)
BSA C12 ,  C15,  A7SS Shooting Star, till I discovered females and found it was more comefortable in a Morris Minor .But now im back and enjoying every ride in my retirement. But im sure I can hear the neighbours saying :Look at that old so & so
but who cares ..KEEP ON RIDING AS LONG AS YOU CAN
Why let the younger ones have all the fun

Nearly 62, had lots of bikes, have a 500 Enfield, a 500 Suzuki Titan, a Honda Metropolitan, (does that count?) a 63 Harley my wife calls a paint shaker, a 500 Honda 4 cylinder CB, and a 6 cylinder Honda CBX that will try to kill you.Oh, yeah, and one of those little Chinese things that you can carry under your arm-don't fall very far when riding it! Love 'em all, ride 'em rarely, always lookig', selling, or trading. Now that I have became more sedate (nice for old), I'm thinking I need a Guzzi automatic. Never quit till you fall off the last time!!  I would prefer to slide the last 150 feet of my life-gives the anti-bikers something to talk about. Enjoying all this forum stuff, Happy Thanksgiving ! !  JB
