Finally for sale in California

Finally after all of these years the Royal Enfield UCE is ready to be sold in California,
We got our certificate from the pollution folks at CARB in CA last Monday. The bikes are supposed to be in port on  Sept. 8, then time to clear customs and we can deliver them to our dealers.

We have heard so many stories in the Industry about the CA certificates taking well over a year of some companies not getting them at all. We got ours in the promised 30 days. I think it has a lot to do with which lab you use. We used Northern California Diagnostics Lab in Napa. They are actually licensed by CARB.  and I would reccomend them to anyone.

We actually had a certificate some years ago, but never moved forward because we were not sure that we could assure that each bike would be compliant, This was in the days of the Iron Barrel with points, With the new UCE with EFI and a three stage catalytic converter we are on certain ground,
