Well I was all set to get my Mikuni and other
goodies when the washing machine went belly up.
500 just for the parts.Not going to put that much in it.
Of course we cant cant just replace the washer ,it has
to have the matching dryer per OCD wife.Bye Bye
Bullet money.
Now it looks like I may have to settle for the 30mm flat side
to go with Ace canister,Goldie exhaust .

Not settling at all IMHO
 
 The 30mm flat slide is a remarkably good carb and often under appreciated IMHO.
The part I like best about it is the throat is not circular. It is oval.
The top section is 30mm while the bottom is 28.
This results in good intake charge velocity at lower revs for good cylinder fill resulting in better bottom end torque while at wider slide openings you get free breathing for more top end power.
 The transition between the two openings is seamless and smooth and throttle response is crisp.

intake or do you have some sort of spacer or intake
hose/coupling .? Spring time is on the way !

From what I was able to find, it uses completely different jet numbering than Mikuni, and I have no idea what jets to get, or even if the jets we would need are available.
Do you know how to get the proper jets and re-jet this carb? Do you know if real Mikuni jets will fit in it?
Because I don't.

You won't beat the price, which is why the carburetor on my Fireball came from this very link.

If you are serious about it, go ahead and also ask these guys for a 6DP17 needle, 389 series P4, P6, and P8 needle jets, along with 180, 190, 200, and 210 main jets.

Your stock throttle cable should be fine, same as the pilot jets I gave you for the VM28 mikcarb.    You might want the choke cable conversion from Sudco but that can be done later.

This is the only way to go if you have the faintest dream that you will eventually Fireball.  There isn't a Fireball out there not running this carb, far as I know.

And last thing, ask Tom about his gorgeous custom intake manifold made for this.

Tom...Justin...thanks for the info. Just doing some "research"...right now the bike is running like a dream...thanks to the VM28 swap out and re jet...no complains about performance at all.

Has any one done the choke cable conversion? If so whet cable did you use?
